Heating
La Casetta is heated through the biomass method.
The cycle of heating starts in the forest. Wood is collected and stored during the winter. In autumn, this wood is chipped and used to fuel the boiler.
Due to the high efficiency of the boiler (95%), CO2 emissions are very low.
Emissions are absorbed by the same forest which started the process. In exchange, the trees give back oxygen.
This kind of fuel:
-doesn’t pollute
-supports the local economy. (The tractor chipper comes from Feltre.)
-promotes forest replenishment
